I went out last night. As I do every Wednesday night (mostly). I did this to have fun. I did not do this to wake up feeling like I’d been run over by a truck. Quick recap: I went bowling. Not drinking, not dancing, not anything particularly strenuous or in anyway taxing. I freaking went bowling. And I am not feeling so good today.
I woke up with a sore throat, one that’s been hanging around between allergies and a cold for two weeks. Apparently, it decided last night.
I woke up with a sore shoulder due to a tumble I took because there was a sticky spot on the floor at the alley. My shoe stuck, which means my foot stopped, but my body kept going. My full weight landed on my hand, which was at the end of a locked arm. OW! The only bonus is the fall was pretty spectacular.
I also woke up feeling like I slept half the time I did. I even left the bowling alley an hour earlier than I usually do!
I am absolutely sure I hate this. I hate being an “adult” because my body has decided that being an “adult” means I’m fragile and need copious amounts of sleep to function at about 80% of what I usually do.
Maybe this is just me being sick.
I hope this is just me being sick.
Crossing fingers, right?
P.S. Come hell or high water, I am determined to get back on schedule with the blogs this week. Later today, a review should pop up on Awake. Watch out! I am dangerous when I am determined!
P.P.S Don’t let ANYONE tell you otherwise–bowling is very, very dangerous.

I hear you. Last time I went bowling, not only I ended up with my arms hurting A LOT because let’s face it, I don’t have enough muscles to hold a bowling ball, but because my lack of muscles, the ball ended up on a part of my foot. thankfully my foot did not broke, but I had to walk funny during 2 weeks without having my foot broken so without visible explanation. So what I wanted to say is : I hate bowling.

I generally love bowling. I was really unhappy that a normal night of it turned out like this. Thankfully, after a bad night’s sleep, the shoulder popped back into place and only twinged for a day more.
Perhaps you should try a lighter ball? Less arm hurting, less foot hurting, too.
